VISIT THE INDIANA HISTORY CENTER :: tours | ||||||||||
| You
are invited to tour the Indiana Historical Society during any of the hours
we are open to the public. There is no need for individuals or small groups
to schedule their visit in advance. Visitor maps are available at the Welcome
Center to assist in a self-guided tour, and staff there are glad to answer
questions. Large groups are asked to let us know two weeks in advance of
their visit so that we can ensure we will be able to meet the needs that
large groups require. Please call the Society’s Welcome Center at
(317) 232-1882 or (800) IHS-1830. You can find
directions and maps to the Indiana History Center here.
The Society's Education Division hosts school and youth tours. Groups receive a welcome and introduction from a volunteer greeter or host, who is available to the group throughout its visit to direct them through the public areas of the Society and answer questions. Groups are asked to register for this tour by completing a reservation form a minimum of four weeks in advance of the desired tour date. To receive a reservation form, please call the Society’s Welcome Center at (317) 232-1882 or (800) IHS-1830 or the Public Programs Division at (317) 233-5659. You may also receive information by contacting us.
Group tours can also be arranged at times other than those listed above. There is a small fee per person to cover materials and expense. Please contact Marketing and Community Relations at (317) 233-9028 during business hours if you are interested in arranging a group tour. |
